Members of the BiH Presidency in Brussels

(Patria) - Members of the BiH Presidency are meeting in Brussels with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU, Josep Borrell.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted a decision to open an embassy in Tirana at an extraordinary session.

Topics of discussion with Borrell also include the implementation of all judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, and the fulfillment of priorities from the European Commission's Opinion on the candidate status for membership in the European Union.

Šefik Džaferović, Željko Komšić, and Milorad Dodik will have a joint meeting with the European official after a long time.

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, stated that, although only he received the invitation, all three members of the Presidency will go to Brussels and that their performance should reflect the policy they pursue towards the EU process as an institution. He emphasized that the will to implement the conclusions should be shown.

"I do not see any objections from any member of the Presidency. All three of us are very interested. There are different views regarding the details of BiH's obligations, but we need to discuss them, so that BiH institutions - the BiH Parliament, the Council of Ministers, and the Presidency do their part. It is in the interest of everyone in BiH to become a member of the EU," said Džaferović.
