Oil prices on the US market fell by 5% yesterday, approaching $60, after Saudi Arabia announced it has no intention of reducing production. Saudi Arabia, the main member of OPEC, produced about 9.6 million barrels per day in November and plans to maintain the same production level, reports the BH news agency Patria.
The price of US oil fell to $60.94, while Brent crude oil finished yesterday's trading at $64.24.
US stocks are also falling, with the Dow Jones index dropping by 1.51% to 17,533 points, while the S&P 500 fell by 1.64% to 2,026 points.
The Nasdaq Composite technology stock index is down 1.73%, with its last value at 4,684 points.
