Teams from the Sarajevo Professional Fire Brigade are still on the scene where a fire broke out this morning at the Konzum building at Alipašino Polje in a Chinese goods store. As confirmed to us by the Sarajevo Professional Fire Brigade, there is no danger of the fire spreading, but citizens of Sarajevo are sharing photos of thick black smoke coming out of the building on social media. As explained to us, the fire is under control, but the smoke is a result of the burning roof insulation. 

Employees have been evacuated from the building.

In the building of the Konzum retail chain at Alipašino Polje, a fire broke out in one of the business premises in the morning hours, and three teams from the Sarajevo Professional Fire Brigade were dispatched to the scene, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The fire is contained, but we do not know what caused it - said the Sarajevo Professional Fire Brigade this morning for Patria.

 Fortunately, there are no injured persons, and material damage has been caused to the building.

As confirmed to Patria by the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, the fire was not caused by an open flame, and it concerns a business premises located above the Konzum supermarket. 

- We were reported smoke billowing from the building - said the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.
