Police stop Chetniks on their way to Novi Pazar

It has been turbulent in Novi Pazar since this morning, after a group of members of the Chetnik movement in four to five vehicles attempted to arrive early this morning at the announced memorial service at Petrov Church and a walk through Novi Pazar, Patria reports.

As Serbian media report, they were stopped by police near Kraljevo and turned back. The group of Chetniks was led by Bratislav Živković, president of the Chetnik movement, who recently returned from the war front in Ukraine.

In Novi Pazar, during the morning, it is completely calm; in the very center of the city, small groups of Novi Pazar fans are gathered, but they are not carrying any banners or shouting anything. Small police patrols are stationed around them.

Around 10:15 AM, a flag of the Bosniak National Council was brought among the fans, who greeted it with shouts of „Allahu akbar“.

Otherwise, all access roads to Novi Pazar have been covered by police patrols since early morning.

These plans for the Chetniks' arrival in Novi Pazar arose after the march of uniformed Bosniaks, and the Chetnik movement also announced a march through the center of Novi Pazar.

A certain Bratislav Živković, commander of the Chetnik movement, who also led the “Slavic Detachment „Jovan Šević“ in Ukraine, called via Facebook for a “walk through Serbian Novi Pazar”. 

Živković spent four months on the war fronts in Ukraine on the side of pro-Russian forces. Upon his return to Serbia, the commander of the Chetnik terrorist movement, Bratislav Živković, was met by the Security Information Agency (BIA).

The BIA interrogated him all night at Nikola Tesla Airport. Živković answered questions for more than five hours, and then, like other members of the Chetnik terrorist movement who returned from the war front, he was released.
