(Patria) - The Head of the General Crime Suppression Section in the Crime Fighting Sector, Aleksandar Bošković, said on TVCG's Dnevnik that N.K. from Cetinje, who shot at Vuk Borilović yesterday, is not currently available to the police. It is still not determined whether Borilović died from bullets fired by police officers or by N.K.
“Certain measures and actions are being taken to secure him (N.K.) and to ensure his presence in this entire procedure,” said Bošković for TVCG.
Asked whether they have determined the motive for yesterday's crime in Cetinje, Bošković says that measures and actions are still ongoing.
“Preliminarily, we can report that this person has shown certain changes in behavior in recent days, and in that regard, with the help of friends, a medical examination was scheduled for yesterday,” stated Bošković, adding that unfortunately, that examination did not take place.
The autopsy, he notes, has been completed.
“At this moment, without the approval of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (VDT), I cannot provide more details; the finding will be submitted to the VDT. The perpetrator's body has multiple gunshot wounds, so we cannot disclose more details in that regard,” stated Bošković.
He said that after the exchange of fire with the police, N.K. from Cetinje fired more projectiles at Borilović.
“But for now, we cannot provide details on whether death resulted from injuries inflicted by the police or by this citizen,” stated Bošković.
He reminds that at 3:30 PM, the police received information that a shooting had occurred in the Medovina neighborhood.
He also says that the police first rushed to help the wounded individuals, after which Borilović shot at them.
“After that, all legal conditions were met, and the police returned fire, firing 20 projectiles. In that exchange of fire, one police officer was injured,” stated Bošković.
It was not a multi-hour operation, but rather half an hour or 45 minutes
He says that, according to current information, four or five police officers used firearms yesterday in Cetinje.
“There have been speculations that it was a multi-hour operation. At 3:30 PM we received the call, at 3:50 PM we have that the perpetrator himself called another person, stating that he was seriously wounded, that he had killed several people, and that he thought he would not survive. After 3:50 PM, firearms were used by N.K., which time interval we cannot precisely specify, and after that, the death of that person occurred. So it was not a multi-hour operation, but now we can say half an hour or 45 minutes, but we cannot specify precisely,” said Bošković.
Let us recall that in the Medovina neighborhood of Cetinje, near the Government House, Borilović killed 10 people yesterday, while six were injured, including a police officer. Among the dead are two children.
The attacker Vuk Borilović was killed in an exchange of fire.
