Central Bank Paid 184 Million KM Profit to BiH Budget

(Patria) - The Central Bank (CB) of BiH today transferred 184,420,439.90 KM to the account of the institution responsible for the BiH budget - the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.

The funds were paid based on the distribution of a portion of the net profit of the CBBiH for the year 2025.

This payment represents one of the most significant individual revenues for the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, accounting for approximately 12.5% of its total amount.

The CBBiH thus confirms that, in addition to its key role of preserving monetary and financial stability, it is also an important and reliable source of state budget revenues.

Positive business results further strengthen this role.

In the last three years, the CBBiH has transferred 493,046,833.44 KM to the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is 56,311,818.58 KM, or 12.89% more than in all previous years since the distribution of net profit began.

The transfer of funds to the state budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is carried out in accordance with Article 27 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The net profit of the CBBiH in 2025 amounted to 307,367,399.84 KM as a result of stable and responsible management, with a special emphasis on efficient management of foreign exchange reserves.

Such an approach allows for the preservation of stability while achieving safe and sustainable returns.

The CBBiH will continue to implement a policy of managing foreign exchange reserves based on the principles of security, liquidity, and, only then, profitability, in accordance with the legally defined goals and tasks, remaining a reliable pillar of the overall macroeconomic stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The confirmation of the credibility and professional work of the CBBiH is also reflected in the fact that the Presidency of BiH and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH yesterday adopted the Annual Report of the CBBiH for 2025.
