Central Bank of BiH Donated Aid Worth 100,000 KM Over the Weekend

Since the beginning of the natural disaster that struck Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has launched a series of aid actions for the endangered and affected population.

One part of the aid, CBBH delivered over the weekend to the residents of Želježno Polje near Zenica. In the coming days, it will deliver another 14 vans of aid for the population of Šamac, Orašje, Brčko, Maglaj, Doboj, Banja Luka, Olovo, and Šekovići. The total value of the aid is 100,000 KM, and it consists of food, hygiene products, and other necessities.

CBBH officials also set aside funds in the amount of one day's net salary, and members of the Management and Supervisory Board more, according to their own discretion.

In addition, CBBH officials have also spontaneously organized aid collection for the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina affected by floods, and personally contributed additional funds from which goods, food, a generator, fuel, and other necessities were purchased. They also engaged in volunteer cleaning activities and direct assistance to the endangered population, with cases where officials in the areas of Brčko and Banja Luka were directly affected by the floods.

CBBH officials will continue to provide assistance in accordance with their own and the institution's capabilities to show solidarity with the endangered and affected residents, according to a statement from the Central Bank of BiH.
