Regarding media reports and articles concerning the current report of the ad hoc Commission on the Regulatory Plan of the City Center "Marijin dvor", and the negative context in which some media, as well as political and public officials, are trying to place the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and link it to the existence of certain "irregularities", we hereby emphasize once again that the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has acquired ownership of the subject plot in a conscientious and legal manner. With full respect for expertise, we point out that no report from any body, commission, etc., can change this fact, and such media appearances and the dissemination of incomplete information continue the continuous and conscious attempt to politicize the entire case and damage the reputation of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced from the CBBH.
"We decisively reject the attempt to link the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina with any irregularities. The Commission's report on the established situation regarding the Regulatory Plan of the City Center "Marijin dvor" We consider it extremely unprofessional that the Central Bank was not provided with the subject report in a timely manner, with the opportunity to respond. This was done only after the explicit request of the Central Bank, the day before the scheduled session. However, the report somehow reached the media, which use and misuse quotes from it, even before the announced thematic session of the Municipal Council, thereby placing the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its management in an extremely negative context, presenting this institution as a "thief of Hastahana", and ignoring the fact that we have already paid nearly 5.5 million marks for the purchase of the subject plot and registered ownership, and that we have been suffering significant damage for 6 months due to the neglect of the Municipality of Centar.
Also, the report does not propose any response from the Central Bank that has been submitted to the Municipality of Centar so far regarding the subject matter. We remind that all activities undertaken by the Central Bank in the process of purchasing the plot were carried out in full compliance with applicable regulations, publicly and transparently. The plot owned by the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not in the zone of a national monument, but in the so-called "protection zone" for which there is no prescribed absolute prohibition of construction.
The attitude of the municipal authorities towards the requests of the Central Bank is extremely worrying and incorrect. The Municipality of Centar continuously postpones the resolution of these requests, thereby violating legal deadlines for action, which is why we were forced to file appeals with the competent institutions, the resolution of which we expect in the coming period. Unfortunately, the current situation most resembles a political showdown between the previous and current administration, in which the Central Bank suffers the most damage.
The report is currently the subject of detailed analysis by our legal representatives, and we will respond to it in the coming period, in the part that in any way affects the rights of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and after the completion of these activities, we will make certain decisions regarding further action. However, one thing is certain - we will persevere in protecting the rights and interests of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina," it was announced from the CBBH.
