Central Bank of BiH was right: A special decision by the Council of Ministers will be made in accordance with the Letter of Intent

(Patria) - Representatives of the leading political parties in the Federation of BiH, the Party of Democratic Action and the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH, with the assistance of representatives of the international community, have reached an agreement on the distribution of 330 million euros in loans approved by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As we learned from the Central Bank of BiH, the money can be distributed as soon as a special decision arrives. This, as they said, is a victory for the lawful work of the Central Bank and BiH. Governor Senad Softić did not yield to pressure and transferred the money to the entities without an additional decision.

The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved a loan of 330 million euros to Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 20 this year to mitigate the economic consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The agreement on the distribution of money was reached at a meeting between the presidents of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, and SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, and that after pressure from the international community.
38 percent belongs to Republika Srpska, 62 percent to the Federation of BiH, while both RS and the Federation will give Brčko District half a percent each from the amount due to them.

The decision signed on April 23 by Zoran Tegeltija, which was published in the Official Gazette number 26/20, clearly indicated that a special decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH was necessary in accordance with the signed Letter of Intent.
As confirmed to us, precisely such a thing was agreed upon last night, a special decision of the Council of Ministers will be made in accordance with the signed Letter of Intent.
