Cenić: Dodik is destroying RS, which businessman will invest where they don't know how they will pay taxes

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Svetlana Cenić, former Minister of Finance in the Government of Republika Srpska, said that everything proposed at the SNSD Main Board session on Thursday, and which party leader Milorad Dodik has been mentioning for some time, ultimately means the destruction of Republika Srpska.

"Revenues from the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) are distributed based on final consumption, but if you look at the place of payment, then Republika Srpska is in the minority because perhaps only 22 percent is paid from Republika Srpska, but the coefficients are distributed based on final consumption. They will lose a lot there. Secondly, the state's jurisdiction according to the 'original Dayton' also includes customs, excise duties, and pre-levies, and Dodik can only return VAT, which is only a fraction of these revenues. Everything else that constitutes the indirect tax system is the state. If he wants the 'original Dayton', he should also be reminded of the obligation to form the Transport Company of BiH, which has never been established, and this means that entities will no longer be able to collect road tolls. Taxes will be reduced, and he thinks he will finance the army, not to mention the judicial system. All of this will undermine RS. And all of this leads to that," Cenić says.

She adds that she laughs heartily at Dodik's team of "experts".

"Mostly his 'experts' have been copying state laws. Which investors will come and which domestic businessman will invest where they have no idea where they will pay taxes? Who is competent, for what? Therefore, all of this is directed against Republika Srpska, he is intensively working on its extinction. He is very successfully undermining not Bosnia and Herzegovina, but Republika Srpska," said Cenić.

She warned that all of this will cruelly backfire on the citizens living in Republika Srpska.

"My God, the rest of the country will also have consequences. But we have one big difference, the industrial base of the Federation is far and incomparably better than RS, so it will be interesting to watch. If we watch at all, because this represents a violation of both laws and the Constitution that he (Dodik) swears by," Svetlana Cenić concluded for N1.
