Enes Čengić, General Manager of Energoinvest, is the recipient of the prestigious "Mediterranean Leader" award presented by the Center for Transatlantic Relations SAIS at "Johns Hopkins" University in Washington, reports the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

This award is presented to selected leaders from Mediterranean countries for their contributions to strengthening democracy in society, developing the economy, and regional cooperation.

Čengić was presented with the award today by Prof. Dr. Daniel Hamilton, Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations SAIS at "Johns Hopkins" University, who emphasized at the time that Čengić, through his dedicated work as General Manager of "Energoinvest", has significantly contributed to the development of this company. He stated that in globally difficult economic times, Čengić is successfully developing regional cooperation, employing new staff in "Energoinvest", and creating new jobs.

- Your success is even greater because you lead this significant company in, unfortunately, a turbulent political environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I want you to know that you have friends here who will help you promote Energoinvest and connect with American companies operating worldwide – Hamilton stated, as reported by the Patria agency.

He expressed his joy that representatives of "Energoinvest" will participate in the work of the Transatlantic Economic Forum, which will be organized in June this year in Washington.

- The Forum will bring together significant businessmen from the countries of North Africa, Southeast Europe, and the United States – Hamilton concluded, reports NAP.

Čengić thanked the Center for Transatlantic Relations SAIS for this significant recognition, which, as he said, belongs to all employees of "Energoinvest". Incidentally, last year, the "Mediterranean Leadership Award" was received by Muhamed Al-Mugariaf, the first president of Libya after the revolution in that country, Robert Aderholt, a US Congressman, Jeane Shaheen, a US Senator, and Rifat Hisraciklioglu, President of the Chambers of Commerce of Turkey.
