SARAJevo, (Patria) - Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH Irfan Čengić submitted an amendment that would calculate a special coefficient for contributions for employees in agriculture as a primary activity, as is the case with the textile industry, miners, old crafts, and other low-accumulation professions.
"This should not be made into a political story; I expect the Government to accept my amendment because it is their promise, which the Government adopted by conclusion in 2016, and the Parliament confirmed in 2017," Čengić said in a press release.
He adds that agricultural producers in BiH are not competitive with producers in the EU because farmers in the EU have a much larger budget for agriculture, grants from EU funds, favorable loans, blue diesel, and favorable tax policies.
"I think we all have the same goal, to protect domestic farmers so that they are competitive in the market," emphasizes Čengić.
