SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the KS Assembly Aljoša Čampara (SDA) today submitted to the Speaker of the Assembly and the Collegium of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly a proposal for the urgent adoption of the Law on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Internal Affairs of KS and the Law on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Police Officers at the next session.
Čampara has previously emphasized that these laws are necessary to enable the employment of police officers in the MUP KS, and by the end of the year, 580 police officers will be missing.
The legal solutions were previously submitted for procedure by the Minister of Internal Affairs of KS, Ismir Jusko, but due to the large number of amendments submitted by the Minister of Finance, Jasmin Halebić (SDA), the procedure was halted and the Government has not yet determined these legal solutions.
In his proposal, Čampara states that the adoption of these laws would improve the conditions for the work, operation, and functioning of the Police Administration of the MUP KS.
He reminds that the amendments to both laws were supported by representatives of the US Embassy, OHR, the Police Administration, and the KS Police Union, as well as all members of the working group formed by the decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs of KS who were directly involved in defining the laws in question.
