Čampara calls for reaction from judiciary and international community over "sale" of BPK MoI

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Aljoša Čampara reacted to the recording that was revealed at yesterday's session of the BPK Assembly by SDA representative Nijaz Musić, which offers 30,000 KM for the dismissal of the BPK Minister of Internal Affairs and the "sale of the MoI" to SDA.

"I call on the judicial authorities to determine as soon as possible whether there are elements of a criminal offense in the published material. The trade in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which we heard about in the recording that first appeared at the session, and then in the media, is a trivialization and disregard for the state and its institutions. It is a shameful picture of our reality," Čampara stated on the occasion of this case.

The security system, he adds, should be completely independent of politics.

"The published recording unfortunately shows that there are still aspirations of political parties to place the police under their control. This may be acceptable in autocratic systems, but not in democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina. As I have said before, our aspirations are not repressive regimes, but the European Union and NATO. Societies are unhealthy and corrupt in which politics manages the police. I call on the representatives of the international community to pay special attention to attempts to politicize the security system in BiH, and I tell our police officers to continue to do their job with honor and honesty, respecting laws, not political orders," said Čampara.
