PRIJEDOR, (Patria) - Today's issue of Kozarski vjesnik published obituaries for 102 murdered children of Prijedor, who still do not have a memorial in that city. The obituaries were given by citizens of Prijedor with the message: "Forgive us, little ones, for not being able to protect you."
Journalist and columnist Dragan Bursać published obituaries of the murdered children on his Facebook profile.
"When you can cover half of Prijedor with obituaries. When half of the obituaries are without photos, because babies weren't photographed and because memories were taken from children before their death... When you see half a dulum of paper in front of you, from which the living eyes of dead children look at you, then you know what EVIL is. This is the true poster of RS and Prijedor, and it will have no other poster until a monument to the murdered children is erected!" Bursać wrote.
Today, the Day of White Ribbons will be marked in Prijedor, Sarajevo, and Mostar, symbolizing the crimes committed in Prijedor, where more than 3,000 Prijedor residents were killed during the aggression against BiH. At the end of April, the non-Serb population was ordered to hang white sheets on their houses and apartments and wear white ribbons around their arms.
