RS Budget for next year 3.2 billion KM

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the RS Budget for 2017 and the Law on Budget Execution for 2017 on Friday evening, it was announced, reports Patria.

The National Assembly also adopted the Economic Reforms Program of Republika Srpska for the period 2017-2019, a document that replaces the previous Economic Policy document, which the National Assembly adopted along with the Budget for each subsequent year.

Total budget funds planned by the Budget of Republika Srpska for 2017 amount to 3.2 billion KM, which represents an increase of 73 million KM, or 2.3%, compared to the funds planned by the budget for 2016.

Fourteen amendments were accepted, increasing allocations for the University of Banja Luka and East Sarajevo, for financing the work of student organizations, current maintenance of embankments, and for club competitions in Republika Srpska leagues.

The Law on Budget Execution of Republika Srpska for 2017 defines the total expenditures of budget users, including debt repayment expenditures. The adoption of this law aims to establish the rights and obligations of bodies in the execution of the budget of Republika Srpska for 2017, as well as the method of allocating funds to users.

Following a joint debate, MPs also adopted the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Administrative Bodies of Republika Srpska, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Fields of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Judicial Institutions of Republika Srpska, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in Public Institutions in the Field of Healthcare of Republika Srpska, and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in Public Services of Republika Srpska.
