Ilidža Municipality Budget for 2023 is 44.2 million KM, with major projects planned

The 18th regular session of the Ilidža Municipal Council was held in the Multifunctional Hall of the Ilidža Municipality, attended by 29 councilors, as well as assistant mayors and heads of services. 

Good news for all citizens of Butmir is the adoption of the Decision on initiating the preparation of amendments and supplements to the Regulatory Plan "Butmir" - through an abbreviated procedure, which relates to the construction of a new children's playground. 

The Municipal Council gave its consent to the amendments and supplements to the Work Program of Public Company "Ilidža" Ltd. for the business year 2022, and the Decision on amending the Decision on appointing the president and two members of the Assembly of the public utility company for performing communal and other activities of public interest of the Municipality of Ilidža "Ilidža" Ltd. was adopted. 

The Municipal Council adopted the Report on the execution of the Ilidža Municipality Budget for the period from January 1 to September 30, 2022, and the financial report for the same period. 

The assistant mayor for finance stated that the current budget execution is 42% for nine months, and that the final execution will be record-breaking, over 60%, on a record budget. The execution of the budget for social issues, culture, sports, and youth is over 80%. 

- The execution for the reconstruction of the sewage network in Rakovica, Butmir, Osjek is not included in the table because invoices have not arrived yet. The same applies to the kindergarten in Hrasnica. The works are completed, but the invoice has not arrived. For the sports hall in Hrasnica, a public procurement has been announced, and for the elementary school in Stup, by the end of the year, an execution of one million KM will be shown in the budget, as planned - said the assistant mayor for finance. 

The most important item on the agenda of the 18th regular session of the Ilidža Municipal Council was the Draft Budget for 2023, which was adopted and will amount to 44.2 million KM. 

In his address to the councilors, the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, said that he is extremely proud of the fact that the projected Draft Budget for 2023 surpasses the previous one, which means it will be a record in all aspects. 

- When we talk about the realization of the Ilidža Municipality Budget for the period from January 1 to September 30, it is important for all of us to be realistic when making comparisons. It is equally important when discussing this topic to take into account all procedures, which sometimes take time. However, what is important is the speed of realization of certain projects from the moment all the necessary paperwork is completed until the very end - said Mayor Muzur, emphasizing that the commencement of works on some other important infrastructure projects can be expected in the near future. 

- In the coming period, we expect the start of works on the construction of the tram line Ilidža - Hrasnica, the elementary school in Stup, and the sports hall in Hrasnica. These are all major projects - emphasized Muzur, who invited citizens to actively participate in the Public Debates on the Draft Budget of the Ilidža Municipality for 2023. 

Public debates begin on November 21, and the first will be held in Butmir at 6 PM. 

The Municipal Council also appointed two new members to the Municipal Election Commission, Nerina Velić and Dragan Kapor. 

The councilors also supported the Decision on announcing a public call for proposing candidates for the awarding of Ilidža Municipality recognitions, and citizens will be able to nominate individuals and collectives. 

Information on the realization of the project of allocating budget funds for the promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives and youth employment in the Ilidža municipality was provided to the councilors as informational material. 

The President of the Ilidža Municipal Council, Tarik Stambolić, said at the end of the 18th regular session that a Ceremonial Session of the Municipal Council will be held on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, November 25, and invited citizens to a free concert by Crvena Jabuka, which will be held in Rustempašina Street on November 25, starting at 8 PM.
