KS Budget for 2022 amounts to over 1.2 billion KM, numerous questions from deputies

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The proposal for the KS Budget for 2022 is also before the KS Assembly today. KS Minister of Finance Davor Čičić pointed out in his introductory remarks that a public debate on the Draft Budget was held.

After corrections, the KS Government determined the Budget Proposal on January 13 in the amount of 1,220,787,840 KM, which is more than 100 million higher than in the Draft. 

"The largest increase relates to indirect tax revenues belonging to KS, amounting to 579,234,960 KM. Corporate income tax revenues are 126,357,583 KM, and income tax revenues are 209,256,497 KM," said Čičić. 

He explained the KS budget by ministries. 

22,136,371 KM is planned for loan repayment, and over 16 million KM is planned for bonds alone. 

Regarding the Ministry of Health, capital investments include the reconstruction and renovation of the Institute of Emergency Medical Aid and the reconstruction of operating rooms at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš".  

Deputies had numerous questions for the ministers to explain the allocations. 

Igor Stojanović (SDP BiH) asked the KS Minister of Economy, Adnan Delić, if 10 million KM is sufficient for the company ZOI '84 and what that entails. He also asked if the allocated 12 million KM would be enough to resolve housing issues for demobilized soldiers.  

SBB deputy Zvonko Marić asked what mechanisms are in place to prevent abuse of the Law that allows mothers in KS to receive a 1000 KM allowance, and how they will control the registration of mothers in KS from other parts of FBiH. Jasna Duraković (SDP BiH) asked the same question. 

"Mothers from other cantons will register in KS, and what are the mechanisms to protect against that," she said. 

She was interested in how much funds would be allocated for the HPV program and prevention of this disease. 

Bilsena Šahman, an independent deputy, asked why funds were not allocated for air protection, waste management, and environmental protection. 

Smiljana Viteškić (SDA) asked the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs Minister Admir Katica if and where the construction of the headquarters of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Police Administration is planned.
