Become a donor for children without one or both parents

DOBOJ ISTOK, (Patria) - There are over 140 million orphaned children in the world today, and the local non-governmental humanitarian organization MFS-EMMAUS, with the help of donors, participates in the monthly sponsorship of about 1,500 children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, from Goražde and Sarajevo to Cazin, Bugojno, Brčko, Zavidovići, Mostar, Gradačac and other places.

The project "Sponsorship of children without one or both parents - orphans" was launched in 2012. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with a large number of orphans. In the post-war period and up to the present day, a large number of orphans have been noted who lost their parents through serious illnesses, traffic and other accidents, and who often left them without any financial income, so they now live in very difficult living conditions.

In addition to orphaned children who receive scholarships, MFS-EMMAUS also has a database with a significant number of orphans waiting for a donor.

In addition to scholarships, i.e., financial assistance, MFS-EMMAUS organizes numerous support projects for orphaned families, such as building and reconstructing houses; one-time donations through the distribution of greenhouses, chicks and fattening feed, sheep, cows, white goods and household appliances; purchasing school supplies, clothing and footwear for orphans; organizing excursions and gatherings for guardians and children; organizing iftars and distributing Eid packages; distributing food and hygiene packages; educational and recreational workshops for orphans and their guardians; socio-economic empowerment of guardians of orphans; daily field activities when we visit orphaned families at their homes.

Helping children, who are largely neglected by society, bringing a smile to their faces, making their everyday lives brighter and easier, motivates us to be available to as many of these children as possible. The continuity of such a project is also the best invitation to all who can get involved and help so that, if not all, then at least a large majority of orphaned children are covered by some form of assistance, according to the MFS-EMMAUS statement.

In this regard, MFS-EMMAUS is available to all potential donors who wish to join this project in order to jointly help as many children without one or both parents as possible.

How to become a donor?

By participating in the sponsorship of a certain number or just one orphan, you help us include even more orphaned children in our project.

The amount of the monthly scholarship for one child is 30 € or 60 KM.
