Brutal murder in Prijedor: Milan Maksimović found dead by the roadside

Police are intensively searching for the killer of fifty-year-old Milan Maksimović from Gornja Marićka near Prijedor. His body was found yesterday afternoon on the road in the local hamlet of Špadići. Nobody saw anything, but Milena Ćulić heard. She heard two gunshots yesterday around 4 PM, reports the Patria News Agency. 

-I heard gunshots, my daughter and I were getting ready for a birthday party at our godparents'. I went into the kitchen where she was sitting and said to her, since our neighbour's daughter was supposed to give birth:

-Dragana, it seems Bilja gave birth. I can hear shooting. Then my Dragana says to me – no, mom, she gave birth yesterday, it's posted on Facebook. I said – well, then I don't know what it is, said Milena Ćulić.

She heard from her husband that a murder had occurred. He went to the scene of the accident to see what was happening.

-There were cars, police and civilian ones. In all my years, nothing like this has happened in this area. He was killed, presumably by a firearm. In all my years, nothing like this has happened in this area and hamlet, said Dragan Ćulić.

The Ćulićs did not know the murdered Milan Maksimović. But Milena heard well. Two bullets were fired at him, one to the heart and the other to the head. His body was found next to the car, and he was reportedly involved in reselling vehicles.

A source from the police told ATV that the deceased was not previously known to them. No one is talking about the motive yet, but some evidence has already been collected, and a positive outcome of the search for the killer is expected soon. Until then, the prosecutor has ordered an autopsy of the victim's body.
