British Parliamentarians in BiH from Today: Seeking Ways to Help Overcome Crisis

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the United Kingdom Parliament is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina from today.

In previous months, the Parliament of the United Kingdom has expressed strong interest in the situation in BiH, including holding several thematic debates and asking parliamentary questions related to BiH.

During the visit to BiH, the delegation will assess the existing political situation, the regional context, and the UK's role in supporting positive changes.

They will talk with elected officials, representatives of civil society and local authorities, and international partners. We remind you that the Committee's delegation will meet with the members of the Presidency of BiH today.

Tom Tugendhat, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, said: "The United Kingdom has strongly advocated for the establishment of peace in the Balkans and has a consistent legacy in defending civilians and preserving peace, stability, and democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, the country faces the greatest threat in decades. Our visit will help the Committee understand what more the UK, and the wider international community, can do to help."
