Brammertz at the Faculty of Criminalistics: We seek that the verdict for Šešelj be delivered as soon as possible

Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal Serge Brammertz, before his lecture at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo, addressed journalists stating that he will come on an official visit to BiH in a few weeks, when he will be able to speak more precisely about the work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports a reporter for the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- I came to BiH this time to hold a series of lectures at faculties, and I will speak to students about international law - Brammertz pointed out.

Also, commenting on the work of the Hague Tribunal and the trials of Radovan Karadžić, Ratko Mladić and Vojislav Šešelj, he told journalists that he could briefly comment on that.

- We expect the verdict for Karadžić in a few months. As for the trial of Mladić, we are in the final phase of presenting evidence and I do not know how long that will take, a month, two or three. Regarding Vojislav Šešelj, I have previously stated my position, what I have been repeating for years, we seek that the verdict be delivered as soon as possible. That is not in our hands - Brammertz pointed out.

Dean of FKN Nedžad Korajlić told journalists that he is extremely pleased that cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, which in Korajlić's opinion has fulfilled its mission and task, continues.

- We have had cooperation with the Hague Tribunal since 1999, and I believe that this two-hour lecture that Mr. Brammertz will give will be extremely valuable for our students - Korajlić said.

We remind you, Brammertz is lecturing on the topic „Contemporary challenges in conducting investigations and proceedings for international crimes.“

Before the lecture itself, a meeting was held in the Dean's Office where, as the Patria reporter reports, Brammertz asked Dean Korajlić questions, among other things, asking him how many graduates of this faculty are employed in judicial institutions.
