Bramerc disappointed with work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Salihović promised 100 indictments

The indictment for genocide in Srebrenica against Dragomir Vasić, Danilo Zoljić and Radomir Pantić, for Munira Subašić, president of the Association "Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves" should have happened earlier, but according to her words, the „big fish“ remained, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- This is a case that the Hague Tribunal transferred to the Court of BiH, one of 803 cases. Out of that number, surely 700 indictments could have been raised based on material from the Hague Tribunal, and only about a hundred of them needed to be supplemented. According to our information, the largest number are Serbs, then Croats, and a smaller number are Bosniaks – says Subašić.

At the meeting that the Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal, Serge Brammertz, held last week with victims' associations, according to Subašić, they were told that Goran Salihović, the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, promised that 100 indictments would be raised by the end of the year.

- When Brammertz looked at the list of indictments, he was disappointed because there were no names that he thought would be prosecuted. He is disappointed with the work of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH – said Subašić.

The indictment against Vasić, Zoljić and Pantić, among other things, charges them with participation in the planning and execution of the genocide committed in Srebrenica, by securing and ordering the use of personnel and equipment of police forces, for the capture and forcible separation of Bosniak men and boys, after the fall of Srebrenica in July 1995, as well as the detention and holding of prisoners, and their transport to places of mass executions, as well as the execution of several thousand victims of Bosniak nationality at the locations of Kozluk, Branjevo, Pilica and other places.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
