Brammertz demanded from Salihović the arrest of 64 persons suspected of war crimes!

During the conversation at the meeting in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH on November 13, which Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović had with the Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Prosecutor's Office, Serge Brammertz, there were quite sharp tones, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

According to information obtained by Patria, Brammertz unconditionally demanded from Salihović that by the end of the year, with just over a month remaining, all investigations in cases categorized as so-called unfinished be completed, and that by December 31, 64 persons suspected of committing the criminal offense of war crimes be arrested.

These are cases of the so-called Category 2, which are of exceptional importance for the report that the Hague Prosecutor's Office submits to the UN Security Council. Therefore, Brammertz warned Salihović that activities on these cases must be maximally intensified.

Among these 64 persons, there are already 12 arrested suspects for crimes in Zecovi near Prijedor, meaning that SIPA, by order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, must arrest another 52 suspects in the next month and 10 days.

These activities, as we learn, will be monitored according to Brammertz's instructions by the Oversight Committee tasked with implementing the National Strategy for Work on War Crimes Cases, and it will submit a daily report on the activities carried out.
