Bosnalijek starts exporting to the German market

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Bosnalijek has started exporting products to the German market thanks to a business cooperation with the renowned German immunologist Dr. Hellmut Münch and his company Innova Vital GmbH. This valuable contract represents a cooperation based on contract manufacturing of the Lysobact ® brand.

The highly respected German doctor, who in addition to his private practice, also owns a line of luxury preparations that primarily treat immunological diseases, has chosen Bosnalijek as the manufacturer of his new lysozyme-based product, named Innova Spray ® IMMUN. Innova Spray ® IMMUN is actually Lysobact ® in its entirety, which will be produced at Bosnalijek and exported first to Germany, and later to other European Union countries.

Bosnalijek's General Manager Nedim Uzunović says that this great success, which opens the largest pharmaceutical market within the European Union for Bosnalijek, is the result of continuous investments in production improvement, including an investment of 50 million KM in the construction of a state-of-the-art production facility for liquid and semi-solid dosage forms of medicines with an annual production volume of 34 million packages, which is a fivefold increase compared to the company's previous capacities, and which has created space for such significant business for third parties.

"Through cooperation with Innova Vital GmbH, the realization of the company's strategic goals continues, among which the key ones are opening new markets and increasing the volume and value of exports. In the last five years, we have exported products worth over half a billion KM to three continents and to more than twenty countries. I am sure that this growth, both in export volume and the number of new markets, will continue to move strongly upwards in the future," said Uzunović.

The company assesses that the achieved result is even more significant because it was achieved in cooperation with the renowned German immunologist, who recognized the importance of Lysobact in treating bacterial and viral diseases of the respiratory system, after testing its effectiveness on his patients. After excellent results, Dr. Münch decided to cooperate with Bosnalijek, even though numerous other companies around the world were interested in working with his company Innova Vital GmbH to develop this new product.

Already during the first week, the sales of this product in Germany showed excellent results, and Bosnalijek is receiving additional orders for production, and the company has also received an invitation to participate in a major gathering of German doctors in Frankfurt, where the possibilities of treating bacterial and viral infections offered by Lysobact ® will be discussed.
