Bosić asks Salihović to urgently verify the basis of Kebo's accusations

A letter was sent from the Cabinet of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Bosić, to Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, writes the Patria News Agency.

As stated in the press release, he reacted as the second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly due to the political implications in the work of the BiH Parliament caused by the case of public accusations by the former Vice President of the FBiH, Mirsad Kebo, against the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, Šefik Džaferović.

- Since these are publicly stated accusations of war crimes against the Serb population, the case has caused strong emotions and reactions in the public of Republika Srpska. As a number of representatives from RS in the House of Representatives of the PA BiH are boycotting sessions and demanding the dismissal of Speaker Džaferović from the Collegium of the House, the case has gained serious negative political implications that affect the work of the Parliament.

The case is being handled by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which you head, and we expect you to inform the public as soon as possible about the basis of the accusations against Džaferović, so that political tensions can be resolved and cease to be a cause for obstruction of democratic processes - Bosić's statement reads.
