Bosić: Dodik is paying "war deputies" to overthrow SDS

SDS will not support the adoption of the law that would grant deputies of the first convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska the right to a monthly compensation of one and a half average monthly salaries, or about 1,200 KM, confirmed the president of SDS, Mladen Bosić, today, reports the Patria News Agency.

The reason for this is the fact that the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, proposed this law for personal political goals and is trying to deepen the conflict with SDS with it.

Bosić emphasized that Dodik's law does not treat fighters, but gives privileges to opposition deputies of the first convocation of the RS Assembly, and therefore expects the proposer to withdraw the controversial law.

After the session of the SDS Presidency, at which the Draft Law on the Rights of Elected Representatives of the Republic of Srpska in the period 1991-1996, proposed by the President of RS Milorad Dodik, was considered, Bosić recalled that this law has caused numerous contradictions and different reactions in the public of the Republic of Srpska.

"SDS recognizes all merits of the people who participated in the creation of the Republic of Srpska," Bosić pointed out, emphasizing that people who were the first to organize politically and had the courage and will to lead SDS and political processes should receive all recognition.

However, he adds, this law does not have such an intention.

"This law not only does not have a good intention, but its essence is not fair. The president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska or the president of the Republic of Srpska cannot have the same compensation as an opposition deputy of the first convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska," said Bosić.

He also asked what about the large number of presidents of municipal assemblies during the war period who also bore a huge burden, as well as battalion commanders and fighters, who made the greatest contribution to the Republic of Srpska...

SDS proposes that a comprehensive law be made that will address categories that have special merits for the creation of RS, and by which no one would be placed in a discriminatory position, which, he says, is certainly not desired by those who were in the first convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.

The Draft Law on the Rights of Elected Representatives of the Republic of Srpska in the period 1991-1996 is proposed for tomorrow's session of the National Assembly of RS, BNTV reported.
