Bosnian Mersiha Š. from Virginia: People are in shock, schools are closed

Two journalists were killed during a live broadcast in Virginia, and the attacker has still not been arrested, nor is it known whether there is one attacker or more, said Mersiha Š., a Bosnian who has been living in Virginia for a long time and is only 10 kilometers from the scene of the tragedy, in a statement to the Patria news agency.

- People are in shock, the journalist was only 24 years old, and the cameraman 27. I called the school where my daughters go to see if they had taken any measures. Most schools in the area are closed, and the situation is not pleasant – said Mersiha.

Incidentally, a large number of Bosnian citizens live in this state, and only in Roanoke, where Mersiha lives with her family, there are about 1,500 of them.

- They still do not know the motive for this brutal murder. I am shocked and hope they catch the killer soon – added Mersiha.
