Bosnians are better integrated into the Austrian labour market than Serbs

Bosnians are better integrated into the Austrian labour market than Serbs, reported Austrian Die Presse, as carried by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The newspaper, citing official statistical data, reported that Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in Austria are better represented on the country's labour market than their Serbian neighbours, as well as other peoples, such as Turks.

Simply put, statistical data show that if out of 1,000 Austrians, 700 work in some companies, the employment rate of Austrians is taken to be 70 percent. Statistics show that Austrian workers of Bosnian and Herzegovinian origin have almost the same rate. Thus, out of 100 Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in Austria, as many as 70 are employed in some companies across the country.

- This is a very good employment rate for Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in Austria. Even better than most other peoples living in this country. It is practically almost equal to the rate held by Austrians – explains one analyst.

Bosnians and Herzegovinians integrate into Austrian society much faster than all other peoples, primarily due to the historical ties between the two countries, but also because of the work habits of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes NAP.
