
According to data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH), total household deposits with commercial banks in BiH, at the end of September 2014, amounted to 8.90 billion KM, which is the highest recorded amount so far, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).
Despite very unfavorable economic conditions and blows to the standard of living of the population during this year, household deposits, compared to the end of September last year, increased by 806 million KM or 10%, which represents a continuation of continuous growth over a longer period.
In addition, it should be kept in mind, further state from the Central Bank of BiH, that the population also realizes part of its savings by investing in securities and insurance policies.
In total deposits of all domestic institutional sectors with commercial banks in BiH, household deposits account for 58.2%.
From the Central Bank of BiH, they state that these data are indicators of confidence in the banking sector of BiH and its stability, reports NAP.
