Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched facilities at two locations in the Lukavac area, with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence that the criminal offense of unauthorized trafficking in narcotic drugs was committed, reports the Patria news agency.
The searched facilities are used by a person with the initials M.D. (born 1981), who was previously deprived of liberty in Sweden. These activities were carried out pursuant to orders from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the request of the competent Swedish authorities for providing international legal assistance, and in cooperation with police officers of the Lukavac Police Station, SIPA stated.
During the search, items that may serve as evidence in the proceedings conducted by the competent prosecutor's office in Sweden were found and temporarily seized, including SIM cards, memory cards, notes with phone numbers and names, and other items.
SIPA will submit reports on the undertaken activities and the temporarily seized items to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the day.
