Man Planned to Kill Detective in Derventa with a Bomb

(Patria) - A man from Derventa, identified by initials A.P., has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a bomb with the intent to kill a criminal investigation detective.

In addition to the bomb, as reported by the Doboj Police Department, on July 6th, during a search of A.P.'s apartment and other premises, police also found drugs.

"Officers of the aforementioned Police Station learned that a person with the initials A.P. possesses a weapon - a bomb, which he plans to use to liquidate a criminal investigation detective employed at the Derventa Police Station, as well as a certain amount of narcotics which he would use before carrying out the said action," stated the Doboj Police Department.

On the same day, based on an order from the Basic Court in Derventa, a search of A.P.'s apartment and other premises was carried out.

The police added that one explosive device, which visually resembles a hand grenade, was found and confiscated, along with a bag containing a white powdery substance visually resembling the narcotic drug speed, two packets containing green plant matter visually resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, and a grinder with plant matter residue.

After the case is completed and documented, a Report on Criminal Offenses will be submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Doboj against A.P.
