A bomb exploded in front of the Brussels Institute of Criminology in the north of Brussels, BBC reports. There were no injuries in the explosion, and the building was empty at the time of the explosion, Belgian media report, as stated by the Patria news agency.
A car broke through the fence and entered the institute's parking lot, and "one or more suspects" allegedly detonated a bomb near the laboratory.
Belgium is still on high alert due to the bombings in Brussels in March, which killed 32 people, writes Index.
