Roadblocks in several cities in Serbia, incidents with police and party supporters occur

(Patria) - Environmental organizations and all citizens today held protests, i.e. roadblocks, in several cities in Serbia due to the Law on Referendum and Expropriation.

In several cities, incidents occurred both with the police and with other groups that do not support the protests.

A serious incident happened in Šabac, where a man with an excavator moved towards the gathered citizens.

A group of people armed with sticks also appeared, beating citizens.

At one point, police officers withdrew, and an excavator moved towards the people, attempting to forcefully break through the blockade. However, this did not yield results because the people were more persistent, despite the possibility that someone could be seriously injured or even killed.

Then masked young men appeared, armed with wooden sticks, crowbars, and hammers, who are believed to be members of some fan groups.

They attacked the gathered citizens and began hitting them, and also broke the windows of a tractor that was blocking the road.

During this time, the police watched everything and did not intervene.

The demonstrators then began throwing stones and dirt at a bus carrying members of the SNS.
