(Patria) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and newly appointed British Foreign Secretary David Cameron discussed the conflict between Israel and Hamas, relations with China, and aid to Ukraine, the State Department announced.
"Secretary Blinken and Lord Cameron emphasized the continuity in the special relationship between the US and the United Kingdom and its importance for regional and global security," said State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller after a phone call between the two ministers, as reported by agencies.
Former British Prime Minister and leader of the ruling Conservative Party, David Cameron, sensationally returned to government as Foreign Secretary on Monday, replacing James Cleverly.
Cameron (57) resigned as Prime Minister in 2016 after losing the Brexit referendum, and left his position as a Member of Parliament in the British Parliament the same year.
