Blinken visits the Middle East again

(Patria) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is returning to the Middle East for his seventh diplomatic mission to the region since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza over six months ago, the State Department announced on Saturday, agencies reported.

Blinken travels to Saudi Arabia on Monday, just two days after returning to Washington after a trip to China.

Blinken will attend the World Economic Forum conference and meet with Arab foreign ministers in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

An official from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Blinken will visit Israel on Tuesday, a stop not mentioned in the State Department's announcement about Blinken's regional itinerary.
