(Patria) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel to the Middle East tonight, including a stop in Israel, as the United States continues diplomatic consultations on the conflict between Israel and Gaza, a senior U.S. official said, Reuters reports.
The official, briefing reporters on condition of anonymity, said U.S. diplomatic envoy Amos Hochstein will also travel to Israel to work on de-escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
Blinken is departing Thursday evening "to make stops in a number of capitals, including in Israel," the official said.
The official did not provide further details.
