Bizarre: Kavalec attacks Džaferović and Komšić over fires, 'arsonist' Dodik spared

(Patria) - Head of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina Kathleen Kavalec, as Patria learns, sent a sharply worded letter to the members of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović, Željko Komšić, and Milorad Dodik, regarding the lack of engagement of the Armed Forces of BiH in extinguishing fires, for which the consent of all three members of the BiH Presidency is required.

Although Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, as in all previous occasions, gave their consent for the engagement of the Armed Forces of BiH, they faced the same kind of criticism as the member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, who for completely unjustified and senseless reasons refuses to give consent for the engagement of the AF BiH in extinguishing fires.

Kavalec, in a letter that can serve as a typical example of the hypocrisy of the international community, relativizes the responsibility of the members of the BiH Presidency, and grossly overlooks the fact that only the member of the BiH Presidency from the RS entity refuses to give consent for the engagement of the AF BiH in extinguishing fires, thereby directly endangering lives, public and private property.

Namely, Kavalec states in the letter that the Mission expresses concern over the inaction of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the authorization for the use of the Armed Forces of BiH to combat forest fires in Herzegovina. The letter does not specify who exactly caused the mentioned concern of Ambassador Kavalec, so the impression is created that both Džaferović and Komšić, as well as Milorad Dodik in his madness, equally caused this concern.

Kavalec notes that this type of engagement is one of the key missions of the Armed Forces of BiH. Such civil-military cooperation has functioned effectively in the past, relying on established practice and agreed protocols - the letter states.

Finally, the Head of the OSCE Mission, as if hearing about Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time, also expresses the following appeal;

- Therefore, I appeal to the Presidency of BiH to play its command and control role and thus enable the provision of necessary assistance to local communities affected by devastating forest fires, Kavalec's letter states.

In the end, what can be said but bizarre, cynical, and unworthy.
