(Patria) - Former Chilean President Sebastián Piñera died yesterday in a helicopter crash in the south of the country.
The news was reported by local media outlet La Tercera and confirmed to Reuters by three sources.
Government sources cited by La Tercera said that four people were traveling in the helicopter when it crashed and that three were "found by first emergency services."
Chile's national disaster agency SENAPRED confirmed that the helicopter crashed in the southern town of Lago Ranco, killing one person and injuring three others.
