Before the official opening ceremony of the 21st Sarajevo Film Festival, a cocktail reception was held for guests at the square near the National Theatre, and the attendees were addressed by SFF Director Mirsad Purivatra and Tomislav Ruk on behalf of the main sponsor HT Eronet, reports the BH news agency Patria.
Purivatra emphasized that SFF sends a positive image of Sarajevo to the world and thanked everyone who came from the region and the world to this Festival.
A total of 259 films from 59 countries will be screened at this year's Festival, and the arrival of famous actor Benicio Del Toro is also expected at the very end of the Festival, where he will be presented with the Heart of Sarajevo.
American Ambassador Maureen Cormack, actor Emir Hadžihafizbegović, director Ademir Kenović, Croatian director Jelena Veljača, as well as many other guests from the world of film, music, sports, and politics also walked the red carpet in front of the National Theatre.
