BRČKO, (Patria) - Although the business year was difficult and global economic trends unpredictable, BIMAL prioritizes its responsibility towards employees and the trust of its direct and indirect associates. The latest financial report of the edible oil production factory BIMAL shows a significant difference compared to last year's results, which is a consequence of unfavorable macroeconomic trends on the world market, negative economic activities in export markets, as well as an unstable microeconomic climate regarding the domestic market.

“Our product, edible oil, is primarily a commodity, so price fluctuations are dictated solely by the market. In the first part of the year, we witnessed a sudden multi-month halt in exports due to Turkey's unilateral decision, followed by a fall in the Turkish lira, which together had a strong impact on our business. Additionally, at the end of the year, Kosovo's decision to impose a 100% tariff on imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina burdened the continuity of our exports,” said Nataša Pucar, Director of Corporate Communications at STUDEN Holding.

However, BIMAL's focus is not only on profit but also on the overall business atmosphere in the country, which should favor the growth and development of the real sector, as the economy naturally relies on the internal and external policies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
