Bijeljina: Arrested for child pornography

(Patria) - Officers of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the RS and the Bijeljina Police Administration today arrested a person with initials O.B. from Bosanska Gradiška in the area of Bijeljina on suspicion of having committed several criminal offenses related to the exploitation of children for pornography.

The person arrested as part of the continuation of the operation codenamed "Karika 2022" is suspected of criminal offenses of exploitation of children for pornography, introducing children to pornography, and using a computer network or communication by other technical means to commit criminal offenses of sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, the RS MUP announced.

The statement says that the activities are being carried out under the supervision of the Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor's Office and represent one in a series of activities of the RS MUP that are continuously implemented, relating to the identification and investigation of criminal offenses and perpetrators of criminal offenses of sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

Namely, as unofficially learned, the suspect, after establishing contact with a child, sent photographs and video recordings of sexually explicit content, then asked the child to take sexually explicit photographs and send them to him, and after that arranged a meeting for the purpose of sexual intercourse.

The person then came to the agreed location with the aim of committing sexual intercourse, thereby committing the aforementioned criminal offenses.
