
(Patria) - National Security Advisor to the U.S. President Jake Sullivan stated that the United States will continue to respond to secessionism and attacks on the Dayton Peace Agreement.
He emphasized that the U.S. is concerned by the increased threats to the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
"We will continue to respond to secessionist actions and attacks on the Dayton Peace Agreement, including through the use of additional sanctions," Sullivan said.
He expressed support for High Representative Christian Schmidt and the use of the Bonn Powers, when necessary, to defend the Dayton Peace Agreement.
"We will continue to stand with the citizens of BiH and their goal of achieving a democratic and prosperous BiH integrated into the Euro-Atlantic community," Sullivan stated.

This statement comes after a new package of sanctions for several individuals and legal entities linked to Milorad and Igor Dodik.
