Bihać baker Temaj Azgan has joined the campaign "Yesterday's bread free for the socially vulnerable in BiH", launched by bakers from Bihać and the BiH news agency Patria.
Azgan, owner of the bakery "Sandi", will provide ten families from Bihać with "yesterday's bread" every day.
The news agency Patria (NAP), together with bakers from Bihać, has launched the humanitarian campaign "Yesterday's bread free for the vulnerable in BiH".
In just seven days, three bakers from Bihać have joined the campaign; Amir Mujić, owner of the bakery and restaurant "Amfora", Redžai Unal, owner of three bakeries "Mülayim", and now Bihać baker Temaj Azgan, owner of the bakery "Sandi", has also joined the campaign.
These three bakers give away at least 50 "yesterday's breads" free of charge every day to socially vulnerable fellow citizens.
Bakeries and restaurants in BiH throw away tons of food every day, which, if sorted properly, can feed the hungry in our country.
Jasmina Samardžić-Baković, the main coordinator between the socially vulnerable in Bihać and the local bakers, says that this campaign is a salvation and great hope for many.
- There are people living in our city who do not have money to buy enough food. When someone guarantees them at least one loaf of bread every day, it means they will not be hungry that day - says Samardžić-Baković, who herself is in a difficult financial situation and knows how important this campaign is for the socially vulnerable.
The news agency Patria will publish the full name of every baker who joins this campaign. The humanitarian project was conceived by Bihać baker Amir Mujić.
