The President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Ahmet Egrlić, told the BH news agency Patria that two days ago in Sarajevo, he offered the representatives of the foreign trade chamber from Eskişehir, Turkey, struggling BiH companies, to find investors for them to restart production.
Egrlić stated that he offered a new cooperation model to the oldest Turkish foreign trade chamber, which brings together around 15,000 businessmen. The model implies that the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH presents specific struggling companies from BiH to the Eskişehir chamber, and the Turkish chamber then seeks potential investors for them, which will benefit both BiH and Turkey.
- The paint and varnish factory in Višegrad once operated for the needs of the entire former Yugoslavia, and now it is not operational. It has facilities and part of the infrastructure, but only a multinational company from the same sector can restart production in it. We need to state that we have this company, state its value, its condition, and then Turkey should look for an investor to invest money in it, because the foreign trade chamber from Eskişehir has three multinational companies in its city that produce paints and varnishes – explained Egrlić, writes Patria.
He adds that this cooperation model is much more effective than the classic way of connecting domestic businessmen with businessmen from other countries, which very often does not result in any business deals.
