BiH turns to agriculture: Vegetable production up again this year

The total value of sales and purchases of agricultural products produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina on private farms and agricultural cooperatives in July 2014 was 4% higher than in July last year.

Thus, the total value of sales of agricultural products from own production by agricultural enterprises and agricultural cooperatives in July 2014 amounted to 12,176,930 BAM, which, compared to the same month of the previous year, is an increase of 1,113,587 BAM or 10%, confirmed by the Federal Institute of Statistics, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The total value of purchases of agricultural products from family agricultural producers in July 2014 is slightly lower than in July 2013 and amounted to 10,042,737 BAM, or 2.5% less than in July last year, NAP reports.
