BiH sends demarche to Ukraine over video clip where BiH was erased from Europe map

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina will send a demarche to Ukraine due to a promotional video by the Ukrainian Government, in which Bosnia and Herzegovina and other former Yugoslav countries were erased from the map of Europe, or marked as Croatia, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- We do not wish to believe that this was an intentional oversight by the authors and commissioners of the promotional video. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will insist on correcting the mistake and a public statement from the Ukrainian side regarding the error made in the promotional video – stated the MFA BiH.

- Interim Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, one of the leaders of Ukraine's second-largest party, explained in a promotional video why he believes Ukraine should become part of the European Union.

What is interesting in the video is certainly the map showing the member states of the European Union, on which all former Yugoslav countries have been erased and annexed to Croatia. Many claim that, since Serbia was also erased from the map, this is a provocation given the close relations between Serbia and Russia.

Although Serbia is mentioned in the video in the context of opening negotiations with the European Union, for the Ukrainian Prime Minister, it does not exist on the map at all.
