Bosnia and Herzegovina is searching for four Chinese nationals via Interpol

Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities have issued red notices via Interpol for four Chinese citizens due to criminal offenses committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

The Chinese nationals are accused of smuggling and tax evasion, but judging by the available information, it is unlikely that these individuals will ever be apprehended.

Through Interpol notices, Bosnia and Herzegovina is searching for Liu Junfeng (37), Jin Weizhong (43), Xin Weitao (30), and Liu Chunqing (48). The notices do not include photographs of the suspected criminals, and most were issued two or three years ago.

For instance, a certain Liu Junfeng has been under indictment since 2011, based on the fact that he is listed in the documentation as the responsible person and owner of the company "Yong Da" from Velika Kladuša.

It was determined that various goods were smuggled through this company, and taxes were not paid, causing the state damage exceeding 70,000 convertible marks. However, as investigators working on tax evasion cases explained to NAP, the damages inflicted on the state by numerous small Chinese trading companies amount to millions of convertible marks.

- It is questionable whether the state will ever reach the responsible persons for this crime. In fact, we are never sure if these individuals we are searching for even exist, or if they are fictitious identities. This is an established criminal activity where identities are often changed or misused – said one investigator. Among the companies owing the largest amounts for VAT, at the very top are several companies owned by Chinese citizens.
