The European Union, Russia, and Ukraine will hold trilateral consultations next week regarding the energy crisis due to events in Ukraine, and representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina will also attend the meeting in Brussels, the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.
The talks will take place within the EU's working group on energy, and will primarily discuss gas supplies from Russia through Ukraine. There is, as we have learned, a real danger of gas supply to Europe being halted, as the crisis in Ukraine, as things stand, will not end before the start of the new heating season in Europe.
The most endangered countries are in the Western Balkans, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as they are entirely dependent on Russian gas, and representatives from Macedonia, Turkey, and Moldova will also attend the meeting, as NAP has learned.
