BiH must urgently develop a national plan to combat the grey economy

A regional conference "Combating the Grey Economy: A Prerequisite for Investments in Southeast Europe" began this morning in Sarajevo. The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, writes the Patria News Agency.  

- Countries in the region must declare war on the grey economy, which accounts for about 30 percent of economic activity in these countries. This fight is not the job of one institution or individual, but of all of us, Zvizdić stated, adding:  

- This phenomenon makes the economies of the region vulnerable and budgets unstable. This problem must be solved as a prerequisite for reducing unemployment and dependence on credit financing. BiH must urgently develop a national plan to combat the grey economy, and the Council of Ministers will be committed to fighting this phenomenon. We expect the support of businessmen, the public, and international institutions.

Representatives of the governments of the countries in the region and investors will discuss ways to combat the grey economy at the conference.
